When I was growing up and still to this day, I am very fortunate to have some very close family members. My brothers are my best friends, my cousins are more like brothers and friends are like family. I am the youngest of three boys. My oldest brother is Brian. My brother Zachary is three years older than I and I consider them to be my best friends.
When we were kids, Zach, Brent, Jonathan, Chris and I would spend summers and any other free days playing together. Brian is Eleven years older than I so he was always light years ahead of our childish games. Which made Zach the oldest and “leader” of the group. Brent was next, and where Zach “lead” Brent reasoned. Jonathan (Jon) is 12 days older than I am, and Chris is 2 years younger. We had AMAZINGLY fun times.
I decided to take our great adventures and elaborate on them to create a strip. One that I am very excited about as I feel the characters are very versatile and fun! I hope you enjoy what I’ve come up with. Below is a little info on each character both the strip character and the actual person that helped influence their personality.
Zach was and is very witty, very risky, and always interested in pranks, jokes, and teasing. If we got into trouble it was usually his idea. If it wasn’t for Zach we would have lived very boring childhood lives. Zach always included me, and i always felt like the coolest guy mt age because of him. I am forever grateful.
Some might call Zach in this strip mean, nasty, or even a jerk. He has everyone else get him coffee, makes teachers wish they could retire early, and terrorizes his friends. But Zach, in this strip is a firm believer that if he considers you a friend then he picks on you most.
Bubs or Bubbles” also known as Chris. I have never met someone who didnt laugh around Chris. He’s just that person that makes you happy. He has a huge curly blond fro, and a sense of humor that would embarras Will Ferrell. Eating food off of his shirt is normal, and spilling soda on that date you really want to impress is a given. We started calling Chris “Bubbles” after a cartoon monkey. The name has stuck. I truly believe that heaven is FILLED with people like Bubbles just to make you smile.
Bubbles in the strip is very sensative,shy, and plays the fall guy for most of the jokes. He to is loyal to his friends, but sometimes questions their loyalty to him. Chris is just happy having a good time.
Brent is a genius. Literally one of the most intelligent guys I’ve ever been around. When we were making a “fort” out of two chairs and a blanket, he would build a palace with bedrooms and a living room with space to play UNO. He is the kind of kid that when had LEGOS the sky was the limit. Loyal, clever, and brilliant…a good guy to have around.
Brent in the strip is truly a savant, after a run in with “Darth Bubbles” a weird green substance has been affected his intelligence. His research has gone in vain. Brent is very loyal to science and his friends.
Jon is a master gamer, both PC and console. He is also one of the most loyal guys you will ever have the honor of calling friend. He is selfless and always willing to help EVERYONE out. You could say he is a tech guy, well I would say that’s an understatement actually.
Janitor Jon as the kids call him, is a peculiar character as he takes EVERY piece of technology from the students and hides it away in his “secret space” He hides out there playing games all day, even when there are custodial duties to do.
Patrick is a dear friend of the family. He is essentialy the love child between Will Ferrel and Conan O’Brian…except much more funny. He is large and loyal.
This character doesnt change much in the strip. He’s so large you can barely see him, he’s a bit more quiet but still feircely loyal. If your lucky to have a friend like Patrick your lucky indeed.
Last but not least is Llama. Not much to say, its just a llama.
