This marks the first time that I have drawn myself in Ragamuffins.

I want to thank everyone out there that continues to read and support the strip.  I love drawing the strip! It is a break in my week from work and the stresses on hand.  I also want to thank the VAIL DAILY for continuing to run my strip on Saturdays, thanks for sticking with a local artist, it means a lot.

This comic went through three different variations.  The first was going to finish with Bubbles and the girl (still un-named) kissing under mistletoe.  The second was going to finish with her standing Bubbles up and all of his friends comforting him.  But after flying back to Kentucky to spend time with my family for the holidays, i decided on a different version.

My mother really wanted to see me create a strip, in fact she wanted to help with the strip.  So sitting at the kitchen table with my mom for hours we finally decided on the version you see.  The girl does show up, and in fact they have a great evening.  But even with a great evening Bubbles feels something is missing, his best friend Zach, whom abruptly enters the house and destroys the romantic mood.

I feel this really kinda hits on some points in my personal life at the moment…and having my mom help me with it was a great surprise.  Thanks mom for helping with the story, color, and everything else.  I hope you guys enjoy the double size Christmas strip.
